Background
Milwaukee CMM Calibration and Repair arranges performance verification, repair and programming support for coordinate measuring machines operated by machinery builders and heavy equipment manufacturers across Wisconsin and the Greater Midwest. The work addresses a specific gap in that market: large-envelope bridge, gantry and cantilever machines sized for weldments, frames and gearbox housings, tested at the foundation they already sit on instead of moved to a bench-scale facility built around production parts.
How This Came About
The base of machinery builders and heavy equipment manufacturers around Milwaukee, Oshkosh and Green Bay operates CMMs on long-bed and large-envelope configurations uncommon in high-volume automotive supply. Verification against ISO 10360-2 and ASME B89.4.1 is scoped for that equipment, not adapted from a bench-top program.
Requests are checked against a laboratory's scope of accreditation before a quotation is issued, and as-found data is recorded before any adjustment is made. Certificates are issued under the performing laboratory's ISO/IEC 17025 accreditation scope, with results traceable to the SI through NIST.
