Privacy Notice

This notice sets out the handling of information supplied through cmmcalibrationmilwaukee.com — what is collected, the purposes it serves, and who receives it — together with the commercial arrangement under which a request is dealt with. It governs this website and the requests sent from it.

Each request carries the detail a quotation is built from — name, company, email address and telephone number, together with the item, the quantity, the measurement points, the tolerances, the standard required and the turnaround needed. That is the first category, and it is supplied by you.

The second is collected by the server rather than typed by anyone: IP address, browser and device type, the referring page, and the pages viewed on this site. It is the ordinary technical record of a visit.

What is not collected here is payment card detail, in any form.

Information supplied with a request is used to review that request, to obtain a quotation from a laboratory able to perform the work, and to correspond with you about it. Technical browser information is used to keep the site available and secure and to understand which pages are used.

Information collected here is not sold, and it is not rented, traded or supplied to third parties for their own marketing.

Request detail reaches the laboratory or laboratories asked to quote or to perform the work. It also reaches the service providers behind this website — hosting, email delivery and analytics — who act on instructions and may not use it for their own purposes.

Where the law requires a disclosure, it is made. Where an accreditation body exercises a right of access to the records of a laboratory performing work, that access is honored.

Drawings, specifications, tolerances, measurement data and results supplied with a request are treated as confidential, on the same basis as the confidentiality obligations that apply to accredited laboratory work. They are made available only to those who need them to prepare a quotation or complete the work.

Where the law requires information to be disclosed, you are notified that the disclosure has been made, unless notifying you is itself prohibited.

This site uses cookies only where they are needed for it to function and, where analytics is enabled, to count visits in aggregate. Most browsers allow cookies to be blocked or deleted; blocking them does not prevent use of this site, although a submitted form may not be recorded correctly.

Each inquiry record is kept while it is needed to answer the request and to satisfy accounting and record-keeping obligations. After that it is deleted, or stripped of the detail that identifies you. Where a laboratory performed work, the records it holds are retained under that laboratory's own records policy.

Requests to see what information is held about you, to have it corrected, or to have it deleted can be made using the routes on the contact page. Requests are answered within thirty days. Where marketing email is sent it carries an unsubscribe link, and an unsubscribe request is honored on receipt.

This statement may be updated. The version published at cmmcalibrationmilwaukee.com is the version that applies. It is governed by the laws of Wisconsin.
